The ranch is well watered with five ponds.  To improve the water resources, an existing pond within a short walking distance of the home site location was recently enlarged, deepened, and sealed with bentonite.  This pond, when filled should provide an excellent opportunity for a fisheries resource.  Depending on the status of winter snow melt, it should be able to support a trout fishery in either the summer of 2006 or 2007.  A seasonally stocked trout pond should provide excellent fishery recreation.  If more of a fishery resource is desired, an aerator could be installed to provide over winter trout survival.  Commercial fish hatcheries are present nearby which can supply pan size, and above, trout at reasonable cost.  At least one additional lake site is present on the property that could be developed in to even a more substantial fisheries resource than the current pond.
