For the sportsman this is an outstanding ranch on which an annual harvest of one to two trophy quality mule deer bucks could be consistently produced for harvest.  Because of high numbers of elk present, a cow elk harvest needs to be implemented on the ranch and one to several cows should be harvested annually.  The opportunity to harvest bull elk is good, particularly during the early archery season.  Wild Merriam’s turkeys are frequently seen on the ranch and spruce grouse are abundant.  An abundance of other resident and migratory bird species is present throughout the summer and fall months and their music fills the air on warm summer and fall mornings.  Golden eagles frequently are seen soaring above the property.
